Strategic Health Group’s Dennis Eder Tapped by Leading Organizations to Help Explore Better Ways to Care for the Nation’s Elderly
In collaboration with Tom Peterson, CEO of Clear Vision Information Systems, Hank Osowski, Strategic Health Group’s co-founder and Managing Director, has co-authored an article for the February edition of Managed Healthcare Executive on the opportunities and challenges of developing provider sponsored Medicare solutions. While bullish on the potential opportunities, the article seeks to reassure those considering a Medicare plan option that, however daunting, the challenges can be overcome.
SHG has been engaged by Indiana University to assist in creating a business development strategy for the Medical Center’s GRACE Team Care program. GRACE represents a tested approach and a new model of care for effectively managing the health and well-being of a high risk Medicare population. SHG is working with GRACE to optimize its value, grow its business, and create a sustainable business model.
Hank Osowski, Managing Director of Strategic Health Group recently served as principal faculty for a workshop on Advancing Care Integration for Dual Eligibles at the Medicaid Innovations 2015 conference on February 5, 2014, in Orlando, Florida. Strategic Health Group managing director, Dennis Eder, was recently invited to join Eric Coleman, M.D., MPH and other industry leaders as a Senior Leader of the Practice Change Leaders for Aging and Health a program designed to develop, support and extend the organizational influence of leaders at the forefront of promising innovations in care for older adults. Dr. Coleman, executive director of the program, was recently named a 2012 MacArthur Fellow.
In recognition of SHG’s expertise in assisting payers to understand and plan for the strategic challenges of the Affordable Care Act, Hank Osowski, SHG Managing Director, was invited to participate on two key panels at the recent Medicaid Innovations Forum in Orlando. The first panel of national experts addressed the post-election implications on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act on coordinated care programs for Dual Eligible beneficiaries, Medicaid expansion, plan revenue and potential strategies for success.
Dennis Eder will again be a featured speaker to a group of health sciences students at the UCLA School of Public Health to share his insights on the topic of the importance of understanding the fundamentals of healthcare financial management as well as their clinical expertise. He will also be a featured speaker at two additional UCLA events in March and April 2012.
